In the movie Shrek, a green ogre named Shrek complains to the kingdom's ruler Farquaad about fairytale characters bothering him. He and his friend Donkey beat all other knights at a competition and win the chance to save Princess Fiona from a tower, so Farquaad can marry her, and make the characters leave Shrek alone in return. Fiona is disappointed that an ogre has come to save her, but they fall in love on their journey back. Donkey finds out she turns into an ogre at night, but Shrek not knowing turns her in to Farquaad. Fiona turns into an ogre at her wedding with Farquaad, and Shrek doomed to be killed is saved by a Dragon in love with Donkey. Shrek kisses Fiona breaking her spell, but she is now an ogre as well and marries Shrek.
Shrek Forever After is the last Shrek movie.
