Yes. Late 1974: John Lennon singing "Whatever Gets You Through the Night" (background vocals and keyboards by Elton John). "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by Elton John (background vocals and guitar by John Lennon). An unusual set of circumstances to be sure. For the record, both singles reached #1 in the USA.
John Lennon had two sons: Julian Lennon, born to Cynthia Lennon in 1963, and Sean Ono Lennon, born to Yoko Ono in 1975. Yoko Ono had a daughter named Kyoko (later called Rosemary), who was about the same age as Lennon's son Julian, by her previous husband Anthony Cox. Yoko won custody of Kyoko, but she and Cox disappeared for several years. Yoko also miscarried a boy by Lennon late in 1968, who was far along enough (five months) to require a death certificate. They named him John Ono Lennon II.
John Lennon requested that there'd be no funeral or memorial. The next day after his murder Yoko issued a statement "John loved and prayed for the human race. Please do the same for him." Soon after John's murder Ringo Starr and his wife rushed to be by Yoko's side.
john by far... well this is a matter of style and taste.. personally, I think they were equals but I think Paul had more talent in terms of being able to emulate other singers where as John usually stuck with the same vocal style
