Jacob, who's sitting outside in wolf form, transforms and unzips the tent, going inside. Edward reads his thoughts and is highly against it, but Jacob eventually manages to convince him that if he doesn't warm Bella up, she'll get sick with cold. Against Edward's wishes, Jacob slides into Bella's sleeping back and eventually, she warms up, as Jacob's skin is naturally warm as a werewolf.
