Hiram's grocery stores were acquired by Lucky stores in 1958 to 1959 (not sure when the acquisition closed but it was announced in January 1959. Hiram's had six stores in the Los Angeles area. My father worked for them as an assistant manager for many years and continued with Lucky Stores until he retired. Two of the owners of Hirams were Leon Silverman and Phil Harris.
