Her son co-ruled with Amhotep II, and some historians believe Amhotep erased her legacy in order to solidify his reign. Others think Hatshepsut's son poisoned her in order to rule without her regency (domination).

she managed to rule Egypt by having more support than her stepson.

First you need to know some history,, Hatshepsut was born into the Theban Royal family in the eighteenth dynasty, Hatshepsut was the eldest daughter of Thutmose I who was the pharaoh at the time. She married her half-brother and became guardian of her nephew, Thutmose III. After her brother died, she ascended the throne for her nephew, who was still too young to ascend it himself. After Thutmose III was ready to asend the throne she wouldn't give the throne up. She even dressed as a nomal pharaoh would (like a man).

After becoming regent for her step son Thutmose III (son of her husband Thutmose II and one of his lower wives) because of his young age. They later became co-regents (co-ruled) and after some time Hatshepsut proclaimed herself as Pharaoh.

Hatshepsut and Thutmose III ruled together for 20 years before Hatshepsut died (most likely of old age (50's).

Hope it helped,

Who broke hatshepsut's pictures?

Since Thutmose III was too young to assume the throne unaided, Hatshepsut served as his regent. Initially, Hatshepsut bore this role traditionally until, for reasons that are unclear, she claimed the role of pharaoh. Technically, Hatshepsut did not 'usurp' the crown, as Thutmose the III was never deposed and was considered co-ruler throughout her life, but it is clear that Hatshepsut was the principal ruler in power. He was her nephew. When she died, he tried to erase her history.
