The 1909 replica came to the US on board a Holland America ship. It was sailed in the area around New York in a few celebrations (including one where it collided with another ship) and later was put on display in Popolopen Creek. As years passed the replica was pulled out of the water and put in a park where it eventually deteriorated. Finally it served as a shelter to vagrants and was destroyed by fire July 22, 1934.
