Australian New Zealand Association Corps fought in WW1 because they were part of the British Empire and Commonwealth. Since Britain was at war with the Turks, the Australians and New Zealanders felt the duty to honor their obligation to the Empire. As for the Turks specifically, opposed to say the Austro-Hungarians, Bulgarians, or Germans, that was decided by British Command.
they got slaughtered for no reason as the british high command did not care about them or the turks
Uhm...I think by fighting back real hard... It wasn't only the Turkish soldiers that won, everyon Turk that wanted to fight for his/her country did. That's how they won at gallipolli. Probably couldn't have done it if it weren't for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who led the fight of the Turks against various European armies.
world war 1
Your question is confused. ANZAC troops defintely saw action against the Ottoman Empire in the east at places like Gallipolli, but the term, the Eastern Front, refers to the War in the East in EUROPE, against the Russians by the Germans up til the Russian revolution & surrender in 1917. So, to conclude, ANZAC troops definitely saw action in the East, but NOT on the Eastern front. Hope this clears up your question.
the Anzacs put a hole in a pan that dripped into another one that set off the trigger of the gun. so the Turks thought they were still there. The Anzacs put bandages on the oars so they made less noise when the Anzacs were rowing away.
they faught for there country against the Turks in WW1the ANZAC'S help the New Zealand's and the Amercia fight the war in 1914-1920
Hot. And, by the way, the fight was between the Anzacs and the Turks AT Gallipolli.
There was no victory for the ANZACs in Turkey. Sadly, the entire Gallipoli campaign was a failure for everyone but the Turks.
not the anzacs
the turks and the anzacs look it up !
the anzacs fought the Turkish army
They were slaughtered as soon as they hit shore line by turks.

The Turks from the Ottoman Empire (now called Turkey). Nicknames you might hear for the Turks include: - Jacko. - Johnno. - Johnny. - The "Sick Man".
They hoped to achieve the war between them and the Turks. Unfortunately they did fail to do so. The Turks stopped them by shooting them at a better advantage as they were on higher ground.
Australia and New Zealand were part of the British Commonwealth, which was one of the Allies in World War I. The Ottoman Empire was one of the Central Powers. Those facts naturally brought the ANZACs into conflict with Turks. The ANZACs were specifically sent to the Turkish front in Gallipoli so that British soldiers could focus on the Western Front which was closer to London and made maintenance much easier. Giving the command of the Turkish front over to foreign regiments was much easier to justify.
the ANZACs were said that a courageous image, to go to war and fight for the freedom of the world.
They went in 1914 then they fought in 1915
