It depends. As you probably know, some Germans were innocent civilians forced to work for the Nazis. Such people would stand out from the actual Nazi supporters, and they have very likely been forgiven. The ones who did support the Nazis in their scientific efforts have, supposedly, been put in jail. In one particular incident, however, a Nazi supporter was forgiven for what he did, and he was Hitler's top Nazi scientist! Why is this? Well, he did support the Nazis, being the top scientist. Other scientists and chemists had just finished creating an even more poisonous gas then the ones in WWI, upon the request of Hitler himself. When shown to the top scientist, he realized that the use of such a gas would basically assure a victory for the Germans, but wipe out many, many people. He then realized that so many people should not die because of the gas. When Hitler asked for how the gas was, the top scientist stated that the gas was not effective nor useful. Hitler believed him, and so the gas was never used. The top scientist has been forgiven. Sorry for the long answer, but if you want to know the whole story, then that's it.
