The English were the victors in the Spanish Armada. But only Francis Drake and Lord Howard were allowed back to England. The rest of the English sailors were left in their ships to die. This was because the government knew they would have to pay a lot of money for sailors reward. After 1 year only half of the English sailors were still alive.

Obviously the English, they won. But the Spanish did have the most firepower, and the stronger, slower ships.

Yes she did. Her English army technically won the Spanish Armada but they didn't really do much to them as it was the wind that defeated the Armada. The Armada had seen the English fire ships and had panicked and tried to flee but the wind had battered their ships and drowned most of the Spanish and any survivors that washed up in Scotland was killed.
