Most importantly of all, the victims was murdered, usually by being gassed or shot. Some women were raped, but in view of Nazi ideas about racial purity was forbidden. In the concentration camps, some female guards liked to unleash their dogs on women.
Women and men were separated when they first arrived at the concentration camps. If children were old enough to work, they often were allowed to stay with a parent and were forced to work. If they were too young to work, they were often sent to be gassed. Women, if found strong or suitable enough, were often sent to work in factories. Older women that were not seen as physically capable for doing work were gassed.
If they were not gassed, shot or killed in some form initially then the women stayed in buildings called Block Buildings. They struggled to live and make it to the end of the war. They waited for the Allied Forces to free them. Some had to work in labor camps doing hard labor for the war manufacturing camps. Some were used in medical experiments. If they live through the experiments they were usually physically or mentally ruined for life. They were starved, dehydrated and the German soldiers often raped them. Some of the gals chose to become "guard pets" doing what the soldiers wanted so they could have it better at the camp. That term "guard pets" is my own. Anyway, most of the women were killed, starved, died from exposure and disease or from the medical experiments. Some survived to tell of the horrors to the Allied Forces and the rest of the world.
It really depended on the female's social standing and ethnic background. Pregnant women in camps were often killed right away, along with the sick and elderly. Jews, gypsies, and others deemed undesirable, were confined to ghettos, kept in labor camps, or killed. Of those groups, those who were unwilling or unable to flee sometimes went into hiding. Some were hidden in attics or secret areas of homes, while others went into refugee camps in the forest. The refugee camps were not the best conditions. Sickness and starvation were a constant problem, as well as living in the elements. The refugee women sometimes depended on "forest husbands" to help get them through the situation. In the concentration camps, some women (and men) had twisted experiments tried on them, such as sewing twins together to see what would happen. The subjects of these experiments often died of trauma or infection.
Other women were not in these conditions. Women that were from what was considered a desirable family or background were sent to school and educated on how to select a superior husband, and how to raise a good political family. They were taken care of, but their days were heavily saturated in wartime and racial Propaganda.

This occurred primarily in extermination camps such as Auschwitz, Treblinka, and Sobibor.
