Answer His flight from Mecca Ten years after Muhammad began his mission, his followers were still a minority in Mecca - being terribly oppressed by the ruling tribe there. A group of men and women in another city had heard about the Prophet's message. In their city was a tribe of Jews who always spoke of the coming of a prophet, which they soon expected.
