What happens after the crock pot shuts down after cooking for say 8 hours and you are at work and won't be home for 11 12 hours or more?

Once a crockpot is done cooking, it goes into warming mode. This is when it stays on at just a high enough temperate to keep the food moderately warm. Once the warming period ends, the crockpot powers itself off. Any food in the crockpot will cool off. And it will eventually reach room temperature.
