The most impressive part of a Masonic funeral is that most often it is attended by many people who never actually met the deceased. The fact that Masons consider each other Brothers (under the fatherhood of G-d) drive many miles to show their respect and affection through their attendance and support of the deceased's family.

During the service, Masons clad in white gloves and aprons will speak a bit on the relevant symbols of Masonry, namely the Sprig of Acacia (symbol of eternal life) and the White Leather Apron (symbol of a pure soul). They will offer prayers and comfort that the deceased's soul rests with G-d.
