Augmentin must be refrigerated to maintain its efficacy. If Augmentin is left unrefrigerated it does not become dangerous to use but it may not work to cure the infection, prolonging the illness.

Amoxicillin will lose it's effectiveness if it has already been reconstituted and has been left out of the fridge. Depending on the temperature of your house, leaving it on a cold counter overnight for one night will probably be okay. Call your pharmacist and let him/her know the details of your situation. You may need to get a replacement. Some pharmacies have certain dosages of liquid amoxicillin on their $3 or $4 dollar programs...so replacing a bottle is preferable to risking loss of efficacy.
