Um...when you mean rat, do you mean a pet rat or a wild one? Rats are curious creatures, and well, it could have bitten out of curiosity, or it could have just been nibbling. It could have been that you smell of food, and its first reaction is to get a bite. If it was a pet rat, you'd be safer, as long as the rat is clean and has no illness. If it was a wild one, then I suggest you go to a doctor to check for infections, although I'm not saying a pet one is free of infections. If it simply nibbled you, and there're no signs of your skin peeling off, or blood, then you simply need to get it washed, and you'll be fine.
you will get infections wherever the rat bit you
Get treatment, its bite is not poisonous but can cause nasty infection.
You can get a very bad infection depending where is the bite. And you must go straight to the hospital can cause major promblems.LIke even having to cut off the area bitten.
If any wild animal bites you, you need to get treated by a doctor because wild animals often carry diseases such as rabies. Some of these diseases can be fatal if left untreated for too long!
