Um...when you mean rat, do you mean a pet rat or a wild one? Rats are curious creatures, and well, it could have bitten out of curiosity, or it could have just been nibbling. It could have been that you smell of food, and its first reaction is to get a bite. If it was a pet rat, you'd be safer, as long as the rat is clean and has no illness. If it was a wild one, then I suggest you go to a doctor to check for infections, although I'm not saying a pet one is free of infections. If it simply nibbled you, and there're no signs of your skin peeling off, or blood, then you simply need to get it washed, and you'll be fine.
