The referee should reprimand them
A stick tackle is a slang term for an illegal hockey move. The hockey stick is used to trip another player and will draw a penalty.
Yes. There is a rule in the NHL where if you drop your stick, you can pick up any other stick on the ice provided it isn't broken. If that stick happens to be an opposing player's stick you can score a goal with it. This has actually happened once or twice. One that I recall was where one player dropped his stick and then proceeded to rip one of his opponent's sticks out of his hand. Not getting a call from the ref for doing this, the opponent picked up the stick on the ice and then scored with it.
Hooking is when a player pulls the opponent back with their stick by hooking it around them. However, if the opponent falls over, it may be considered tripping.
Yes. Certain forms of stick-checking are allowed as long as it is not deemed to be hooking.
Square to dive and tackle, but really you just run into them. (To hit hard push up on the right analog stick.)
theres a penalty called push from behind...think about it
The action of using the shaft of the stick between the two hands to forcefully check an opponent
A check, or a body check, is when one player hits a player from the opposing team. This can be into the boards or an open ice hit. You cannot hit from behind, hit a player without the puck, lead with the elbow or forearm, leave your feet before contact, take more than a few steps with the intention of hitting the player, or check a player while participating in a non-checking league. Ideally, a check is made with the shoulder, avoids head contact, and is with the intention to separate the player from the puck.
u usually take the stick/crosse, and hit ur opponent's glove or stick/crosse
The right analog stick
You irish whip your opponent to the corner and then move the right analog stick up.
Ice hockey has 6 players on the ice for a full "line" including the goalie. The forward, offensive line has 2 "wings" - left and right - and one "center". The defensive line has 2 "defensemen" - left and right. All the players are allowed to "tackle" the opposing player that has the puck. A legal tackle is called a "check".
