if less than 5% by volume of gasoline you are probably OK
Any more will possibly ruin the engine and fuel system
No. Do not put unleaded gas in a diesel tank.
The engine may not start and/or have poor performance. Drain gas tank and fill with proper fuel.
You can put petrol (UK spelling) into a diesel container (can) provided the container is empty. It is best not to, though, in case you later empty the petrol into a diesel vehicle's tank by mistake - which could happen if the container happens to be marked diesel on the outside of the container.
Only if you put diesel in gas tank.
pancake sryup is my gas tank, what do i do?
If you were trying to get gas or diesel out of a tank just take a hose (preferably smaller to fit just what you need) just put the hose in he tank and suck it through the hose and a suction will be made for it to push through the hose. Have a bucket or something to put it in and you have gas out of your tank.
You will likely need to drain the gas tank.
Drain the tank, change the fuel filter, refill with diesel.
Nothing
No, the engine will just not run or run poorly and smoke depending on how much diesel is in the tank. If you put very little just keep driving and fill the tank up with gas when you have 1/2 tank. If you put allot and the engine will not run then you will need to drain the tank, replace the fuel filter, blow out the lines, and fill the tank with gas.
It won't run as they are not compatible, you will have to drain the gas tank & clear the lines.
Diesel engines have a much higher compression ratio than gasoline engines. Therefore, you need to drain all the fuel you can out of your tank and fill it with diesel. Gas in a diesel engine will go boom, and destroy your engine.
