In one case there is a contact, in the other, there isn't. Well, at least that's what it looks like at a first glance - it seems that the "non-contact" forces such as electrical, magnetic or gravitational forces are actually mediated by the exchange of particles.
A non-contact force is any force applied to an object by another body that is not in direct contact with it. Ex. Gravity, Magnetism
2 forces that push or pull each other without touching an example is...when 2 magnets are put together they pull ( or push ) each other with out TOUCHING!! ;)Hope you understand! 8)
To gravity, or to one of several other forces, such as a spring, electric forces, or magnetic forces.
Contact forces as the name suggest occurs when something is within contact with other thing or simply touching each other .There are several types of contact forces like frictional force, normal force, tension etc. . Instances of contact force are - #when we stand, sit or even sleep , we experience a contact from the surface we touch. #while writing, walking, driving , we experience a contact force which results in further movement in a desired or controlled way.
contact forces: Push, pull, friction, strain. Non-contact forces : Magnetic, gravitational and electrostatic

contact forces are those types of forces which results when the two interacting objects are perceived to be physically contacting each other. while non-contact force is any force applied to an object(or body) by another body that has not indirect contact with each other....

A contact force is one where the force is only felt when two objects are in contact with each other, such as friction. On the other hand, distant forces are felt even though the objects are not in contact with each other, such as gravity and magnetic forces.
False.
Beats me. But since there ARE no magnetic lines of force, don't worry about it.
Gain situational awareness and contact friendly forces
Contact forces are forces that can only have an effect on objects that they touch, such as when you contact a box and apply force to move it. you might apply a contact force to bend, tear, stretch, compress, or twist and abject. Tension force, friction force, and elastic force are examples of contact forces.
