Don't run the engine any more. contact the dealership as you may need to clean out the fuel filter, carb and drain the tank BUT not as bad as doing it the other way around.
Diesel into a petrol car definitely means cleaning tank, filters, carb and engine.
If it is only a small amount you may be able to top up with diesel and run mixture through but filter may still be damaged.
Get quotes for work though as you can drain some petrol tanks and then refill with diesel and afterwards change the fuel filter if damaged.
Consider also any warranty you may have that could be invalid if not done by main dealer.
Good luck.
diesel and petrol are source which is used to generate power.
If gasoline is used in a diesel it will damage the engine. If diesel is used in a gasoline engine it will do no real damage as the engine will not run.
No, diesel engine require diesel fuel. Put petrol in a diesel engine and you will destroy it.
I don't know what a 'petrol electric fuel' might be. You certainly can't use petrol in a diesel engine.
No it cannot. Petrol and Diesel are different.
Petrol or gasoline in a diesel will cause internal engine damage. if petrol is used in diesel engine it may cause explosive sound with burning ....bcz high compression ratio ......
petrol, diesel
Diesel has highest ignition temperature.. So only diesel cant be used in petrol engine
Because one has a petrol engine and the other has a diesel engine. Petrol/gasoline does not ignite the same way as diesel. It also does not have the lubrication qualities that diesel has. Gas in a diesel engine will damage the fuel system if the diesel very quickly.
silly perter
petrol at one time but diesel is now on a par. Today it is more of a question of how efficiently they are used.
Because , petrol is ignited before or on reaching the dead center at low temparature. But diesel burns at high temp also that's why petrol is not sufficient to diesel engines.
