Some may believe that those who do not believe in God will go to hell, because their God is a jealous God who can not accept being denied. Those who do not believe in God say there is no afterlife, and therefore no heaven or hell.

Someone can believe that God exists, but just decides not to praise Him or worship Him. If that someone believed He was real, it doesn't mean they love Him. They just believe that God exists, but does not go all out in researching about God and the Christian faith, so the someone does not see what an all-powerful figure God is and that someone does not realize that He is the only reason for our very existence.
