The role of the heart in any animal (including we humans) is to pump blood around the body. This is neccesary because blood is an effective way of carrying oxygen and vital nutrients around our bodies which we need for survival. Without a heart, humans can not pump blood around the body and we can not carry oxygen or food around our bodies either. This means that we can not breathe or eat without a heart and we would die within a minute.
You would generally lose consciousness.
Then it doesn't work....I really am not sure, but I do know it won't be good.
