They'd get *really* tired. Seriously, people stay up this long and longer all the time. Chronic lack of sleep can cause all sorts of health problems. An occasional 24-hour stint without sleep (well-known as an "all-nighter" in college) doesn't seems like a big problem. However, even short-term lack of sleep like this slows reflexes and causes attention problems as well as difficulties with short-term memory. The day after an all-nighter is not a great day for driving or for performing dangerous, demanding tasks.
