The fabric will be very dark but may bleed dye when washed. Make sure you set the dye with vinegar.

You will get black. But there are several different colors of black. You've probably noticed that if you have tried to match two different black garments. So your black may have a slight reddish under tone to it. But if you don't put it up directly against another black, it will look like you want it to. A note of possible interest; dye houses use black to cover mistakes. In other words if a garment doesn't come out the color it was supposed to be, they will toss that garment in the black vat. That way they don't have to eat their mistakes. Win-win. THAT is one reason there are several different colors of black!

Can I dye a dark brown 65 percent nylon 32 percent rayon 3 percent spandex fabric black or will it just turn grey?

Hair or fabric? I'll go with fabric: You probably can if you space out the time period when you dye it. Like first the dark brown, wait until it dries, and continue.
