The short answer is one does not do that if one likes to keep their internet privileges at school. I know that at my school, if you are caught bypassing the proxy, then your privileges are taken away. I do not recommend bypassing.
Schools block Facebook because it is social not educational. If you are caught bypassing blocked sites, you could face serious punishment.

You cannot. US Schools that receive federal funding are required to have content blocking software on computers. Students or persons caught overriding the system without authorization (which students are never authorized) can be subject to disciplinary action and possible criminal actions if the bypassing causes harm to the schools network.
