It will go on your credit report. You probably wont be able to get anything with credit anymore like houses and cars. They will then be able to increase the amount you owe them through fees and charges which will never stop increasing until they are payed off. They could even triple the amount that you owe them.
Assuming its a chapter 13 bk, if you dont make your plan payments the court will dismiss your bk- allowing creditors to resume collection efforts
Generally, the home must be sold to pay the creditors. If the heirs want to keep the home then they must pay off the creditors.

It may be garnished too. And of course, if you have assets, (house/car/stocks/savings, etc) those may be taken to pay creditors too.
