What happens if you know too much information?

It's hard to have too much information. You may know something you were not supposed to, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. More often than not, it is best to just keep it to yourself. Things have a way of becoming known on their own. If you can be honest with yourself, ask yourself what serves the best interests of everyone involved. You may help someone else and suffer consequences yourself. That may be the best good. Every situation is different. That's what keeps it interesting.

Well if you keep it to your self that would be considered "inside knowledge" and can be very helpful to you down the road. But if you tend to share your knowledge with everyone (even those who could care less about what you know) you will tend to come off as a knob (other wise known as a know it all).

You will find you are least likely to be invited to social functions and gatherings (because you just can't shut up). There is a wise man who obtains information and retains it for use in the future and there's the one who can't keep him mouth shut and tries to impress by displaying his wealth of knowledge (this tends to back fire more often than not).

There is the flip side of the coin, if you know too much information (maybe stuff you shouldn't know) this can also make you a target for those who wish to obtain the information and those who don't want to talking about what you know (this would be considered a security and safety risk). So there are times it's better to appear to know nothing, just for your personal assurance of a happy pain free life.
