∙ 14y agoI was on a coach bus when this happened to a person. They took her off the bus and brought her into this building where they look through files, and if you are a registered citizen of the U.S. you'll be good otherwise you're screwed w/o a visa. It will take a very long time to do this process though

This is the fact you might not wish to travel outside the UK. or pay the £70 fee to obtain one.
