You can continue to take the non-placebo pills back to back for awhile without any really bad side effects, but if you take a tri-phasil type (usually different color for each week), then you may still get a light period since the hormone level will drop some. If you want to do this temporarily to avoid your period for a particular week, then after you finish one pack (but not the placebo pills) start taking the week three pills on the first week, then the second week pills afterwards, followed by the first week during your third week. This will taper your hormones more slowly and you won't be as likely to get your period. Taking them back to back like this may make you feel more bloated though since you aren't having your period. I wouldn't do this routinely unless your doctor says it's okay. If you want to have less periods during the year, ask your doctor about the pills that you take for three months before you get your period.
The three prior weeks of active pills keep you from ovulating during the pill-free week. If you go longer than seven days without a pill, you may begin to ripen an egg.
Yes. It is called "abortion".
No this isn't normal. See your doctor about changing the pill.
To start the pill again you take it on the first day of your next period.
I started mine on the day of my wedding which was two days too early, this caused me to have a period for three weeks and counting - therefore I would not advise it!!!
Three weeks after you take the morning after pill and/or on the first day of your period
No.
If you are using plan B (a brand of morning after pill), you should get your period in three weeks.
If you're on a monophasic pill, the first three weeks of birth contol are the same. If all of the first 21 pills are the same color, it's likely a monophasic pill. If you're not sure, ask your pharamcist or health care provider.
No, pregnancy happens when you stop the pill, then have sex. You may ovulate within a week of stopping the pill, by then any sperm that could be left will no longer be fertile.
At the end of the three weeks of pills, there should also be a week of different colored pills, that's when you get it.
yes ma'am!
