Look after it! If it is deep (gaping and you can see the fat tissue), then you should get it stitched up at a hospital. They will give you wound care advice. If it is superficial, you can probably just apply some ointment and/or a plaster. If the wound is gaping slightly, but you cannot see fat tissue, then you can use steri strips to close the wound.

Maybe you should clean it off with some soap and clean, cold water. I'm not an expert or anything, but it worked when I did it. The pain went away.
