A 6-month-old hasn't done anything to cause a mother to disown them. Perhaps the mother can't take care of her 6-month-old child and has to make the decision to put the child up for adoption.
It is difficult to answer the question without knowing the circumstances. Definitely there is nothing that a 6-month-old child has done wrong that would cause a mother to disown him or her.
If your mother had to give you up for adoption due to hardship, that is something that you may want to try to understand. She did at least have the courage the put the needs of her child first.
Some mothers are deadbeat moms who abandon their children to pursue drugs or other addictions. Those are the moms that it is harder to forgive.
Forgiveness does often make a person feel better about the situation. If this happened to you and you are experiencing emotional conflict, consider seeking the guidance of a licensed counselor.

first of all i think you mean disowned and you would have to go before court and explain to the judge why you want to be disowned. I think it is the parent / gaurdian's choice though. Only if they physically abuse you.....otherwise it's hard. believe me. my dad disowned me and my dad's mom.. but that was by choice. make sure that this is what you really want to do. Never make huge disicions while your mad. It will lead you to do stupid things.
