Well if they like to gnaw on the cage bars which happens to my hamster is that they are trying to make their teeth strong and or sharp. Mostly my hamster's is very sharp and bit me on my finger today and it terribly hurts! i dont know if u need an aquarium arent those for lizards and stuff. Hope this helps!

Whenever your hamster does that,move it away. Conutine this for about a week. If it doesnt help just pick him up and put him somewhere far from the bars. Show him whos boss :)
