It probably can if you bent it hard enough but even if you did manage to bend it, it would still work (according to my doctor anyway). This is because the hormones are not actually concealed in the little tube as though it's a bottle, but they're kind of soaked or impregnanted into the actual tube.
Yes,mines snapped and is waiting to get appointment at doctors to have it removed.
ive snapped my implant by wanting a baby. im only 15 and i litrally hurt myself by trying to snap it, i thought it would work but i havent found out yet i think i will get it out myself... x
it cant because the implant is flexible
Implanon is still effective even if it is bent.
implanon is a some plastic rod that is flexiable which is inplanted in ur upper arm its replaced every three years. the rod is no bigger then a match.
In the US, the brand name of the single-rod implant is Nexplanon, which replaced Implanon in 2011. The previous multi-rod implant brand was Norplant.
Implanon may get lighter, but will not shrink during the time it's in your arm.

Yes, you can choose which arm to use for the contraceptive implant.
My implanon implant is sore. I have only very recently had it implanted but the end of the plastic tube which was the end last to enter my skin seems to protrude. It is not sticking out of the skin but the skin is bulging over it. This means it is sore when I flex my arm or touch the bulge. I don't know if it is normal or not and I am hoping that it will calm down in a few days. In the mean time I am not doing any exercises that require the flexing of biceps and I whince a lot.
The contraceptive implant can be inserted in either arm. Typically, if you have it removed and a new one reinserted on the same day, the same location is used. The choice of arms or use of the same site does not affect how well it works.
