more food/resources=more organisms; less food/resources=less organisms its completely logical to know that if there is no food then there is no life. I found this answer on Yahoo answers. I thought it was better that the previous answer.

What happens to the proteins in dead plants and animals?

Decomposition is kind of like recycling - all the nutrients that make up the organism that has died are eaten by smaller organisms for food and energy - in the process they provide food for other organisms (think of earthworms and birds for one example) as well as releasing the nutrients back to a form that can be used by plants to produce more food.

Why must a food chain be kept at not more than 4 or 5 organisms?

as if there are too many organisms, the organisms population would drop faster

What advantages do organisms in a food web have over those in a food chain?

Organisms particularly the consumers in a food web have more choices on what to eat and so they have better chance to survive in a given ecosystem.

What happens to organisms that use photosynthesis do not get sunlight?

They can't do photosynthesis any more. DUHHHH

What is the effect o disappearance of all photosynthetic organisms on earth?

it would be a dead planet.Photo synthetic organisms convert the energy of the sun to sugars etc. Part of this process release oxygen from the compound carbon dioxide. If the organisms that do this cease to exist then there would be no more food produced for animals to eat and the oxygen that we need to breath would eventually disappear into compounds of gasses that are of no use to animal life. In effect life on earth as we now know it would disappear

What would happen to your food web if you added more producers to the ocean food web?

If you added one or more organisms to a food web, it would be unbalanced for a time and then a new equilibrium would be reached that might or might not include the organisms that were added.

An organism that relies on other organisms for food?

Heterotrophs are organisms that rely on complex organisms for nutrition. This is a more complicated way to say that hererotrophs feed on other organisms and do not produce their own food, like autotrophs.

What food does this organism eat?

alot of organisms in the world, please be more specific. :)
