The effects are you start to hack and cough and sometimes you get apain in your chest. (I had this once.) It take about a month for it to go away. But, get some medicine and take it. This helps your sickness. You can't die from bronchitis unless it turns into pnemonia.

Bronchitis can present a number of problems on the body. Inflammation of the bronchi and bronchioles can cause increased airway resistance causing you to become obstructed. In other words it can make breathing difficult. If not treated bronchitis can continue to cause inflammation where inflammatory mediators destroy and restructure the airway known as airway remodeling. With inflammation comes increased mucus production which also contributes to the increased work of breathing. If air trapping occurs in the lungs because of the obstruction you can become hypoxic. Hypoxic conditions present a problem to the organs of the body because they need oxygen in order to properly function. If the body becomes hypoxic the heart tries to compensate by increasing its rate which can also put added stress on the body. Things that effect your lungs can effect all your other organs because oxygen is essential to keeping them alive.
