Harry Potter is a wizard but he doesnt know it until his eleventh birthday. He is saved from his horrible aunt, uncle and cousin by a freindly giant called hagrid and harry is then taken to hogwartz, the magical school of witchcraft and wizadry. His destiny is that either himself or voldemort (the man, snake thing who killed harry's parents) can neither live whilst the other survives. Harry sets out on a quest during hist 6th and 7th years with his headmaster (Dumbledoor) and his two friends (Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley) to find and kill voldemorts horcruxes. Hocruxes and pieces of somebodys sole kept in an ordinary object. For harry to be able to kill voldemort, he has to work out what the 7 horcruxes are, find them then kill them. In the end harry kills voldemort and everyone is like yayaaaayayay!
