Easter 2010 was the time setting of the episode 'Planet of the Dead' in which a bus is transported to another planet.
There will be no Doctor Who series in 2009, instead there will be four specials, the first of which will air on BBC1 on Easter Sunday. There will however be a new series in 2010.
Easter in 2010 will be from April 2nd (Good Friday), April 4th (Easter Sunday) and April 5th (Easter Monday).
There is no Doctor Who Easter Special scheduled for 2012. The next new episodes of the series will begin airing in the fall of 2012. In the words of the Doctor himself, "Funny thing is, I don't usually do Easter. I can never find it. It's always at a different time..."
Good Friday in New Zealand is April 2, with Easter Sunday falling on April 4.

The 2010 Christmas special, "A Christmas Carol" airs in the UK and US on Dec. 25, 2010 and in Canada on Dec. 26. The next season of Doctor Who is anticipated to air in Britain around Easter 2011, with US and Canadian broadcast expected soon after, but the exact dates won't be known for a few more months yet.
