In the manga, Near's birthday is August 24, 1991. In the anime it's in 1994. At the series start, Near is 12 years old. (And by the end of the series, he is nearly 17 years old.) improved by Nate River

∙ 12y agoIn the manga or anime he doesn't die, whether he dies in one of the movies, I don't know yet(because i havnt got the movies yet DX -ish poor-), & So it isn't confirmed when he actually dies

∙ 14y agoNear is one of L's two possible successors in the manga/anime series. He takes over a group consisting of FBI agents after the death of L and continues to investigate the Kira murders on his own. Eventually, he is the one who determines that Light Yagami is indeed Kira.

∙ 15y agoHis first appearance is after L's death, in a scene wth Mello. They are at Whammy's, (a term affectionatley pinned to the orphanage that they ALL went to) In Roger's (the headmaster) office. He informed them of L's death, and advised them to work together as L. Near agrees, but Mello flatly refuses. And says that Near can have the job, that he would go out on his own. [scene end] Also: They first make their appearance at the end of Chapter 59 or the end of Episode 26.

∙ 14y agoNo, only Light Yagami, Mello (Mihael Keehl), Misa Amane, Teru Mikami, Kyomi Takada (When she kills Mello),Kyosuke Higuchi, Ryuk, Sidoh, and Rem use the Death Note. Near has nothing to do with the Death Note except to study it.

He catches kira, Light, But Light was about
to write down Near's names on a piece of the notebook paper.
BUT one of his guys shoots him down.
Later on, about 2 minutes after running away from near,
Ryuk kills him, and he is banished to nothingness,
personally i think L should be there too.
And they should make a sequel about those 2 trying to get out of the nothingness. yeeah?
so he' fine. <3
