You get salt, in smaller pieces.
You get salt water.
The granulation of the salt is lowered.
they have a large increase in salt in there body, very unpleasant taste horrible
You would probably die. Dehidration as the salt would draw the moisture from your body. Your sodium levels in your body would be through the roof and your blood pressure would probably cause a heart attack or stroke.
Well, you could drink salt water if you wanted to. But drinking too much salt water can be deadly. What happens is the salt in the water draws water out of your cells. That's why your skin feels dry when you come out of the ocean. So if you put that salty water into your body, the same thing happens, but internally. In short, drinking salt water is actually dehydrating yourself.
Extra salt is not needed by your body, probably. You do not get the high blood pressure, when you do not eat the salt. In one tribal community, which was living in Central Africa and did not have access to slat, did not have high blood pressure. In tropical countries, you need to eat the extra salt. You loose the salt in your sweat, there.
