Sunlight gives energy to the surface of earth, in other words, it warms the earth. Some is blocked by clouds and some is reflected away by large white masses of ice cap and glaciers.
Sunlight comes as light and heat, but not all of it reaches the earth. Ultra-violet light C, very dangerous to humans, is completely blocked by the ozone layer. Ultra-violet B, which causes sunburn and skin cancer is mostly blocked by the ozone layer. Most ultra-violet A light reaches the earth, where it does little damage.
It can become absorbed by the atmosphere; it can go through the atmosphere (refracted, i.e., the direction will generally be changed), and it can be reflected. The same three things can happen when just about ANY radiation falls on just about ANY object.
Troposphere
well, my brother did once
The Archean atmosphere is believed to have been free of free oxygen. Banded iron formations did not occur till near the end of the Archean period.
The layer in the atmosphere that holds all of Earth's weather is the troposphere. It is the lowest layer of the atmosphere and extends from the Earth's surface up to an average height of about 7-20 kilometers. This is where most of the weather phenomena occur, such as clouds, precipitation, and wind.
After Earths materials are deposited.

radiation can occur through a vacuum
The vast majority of the moisture in the earths's atmosphere. The amounts in the other layers are generally inconesquential.
the trees gow the more heat there is
solar fussion
Yes, that's the basic cause of convection.
Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights.
Yes, the shuttle has a sonic boom whenever it reenters Earth's atmosphere.
The mesosphere is where meteorites burn up. Most people call them shooting stars.
