It has to enter the host DNA and "make" the host DNA make the virus parts. To do this the RNA that the virus contains has to be able to enter into the cell nucleus and take over the host DNA. It carries an enzyme called reverse transcriptase to complete this. See the link below for a very good idea of how it works:
That cell is a clone of the first. This happens all the time in your body.
the cel l nucleus contains genetic material known asDNA
This happens so the genetic material from both parents combines to make new set.
Any cell from your body, which have the nucleus, will do for genetic material. So you can collect the blood, which have white blood cells, will do. Biopsy from any part gives you enough cells for the genetic material, you need for genetic testing.
sex cells
Genetic material is in DNA. DNA can be found in every cell in the body....including your toe!
which hazardous material can enter the body
An infection occurrs.
In your cells' nucleus.
A polar body is a small cell produced during the process of meiosis in females. It contains genetic material but does not develop into a mature egg. Polar bodies are formed as a result of unequal division of genetic material during meiosis, which helps ensure that the egg cell receives the necessary genetic material for fertilization.
A sinlge drop of blood or a strand of your hair is more tha enough to get your genetic code.
Viruses enter the body's cell and hijack the cell's machinery to replicate themselves. They use the cell's resources to make copies of their own genetic material and viral proteins, eventually leading to the destruction of the host cell as new viruses are released.
