This is due to condensation. When air comes in contact with the glass it condenses(this happens only when the water inside is cold).

Explain why the cardboard did not fall to the ground when the glass of water was tipped upside down?

The cardboard did not fall to the ground when the glass of water was tipped upside down because the air pressure on the top surface of the cardboard was greater than the water pressure holding it down. This created a force that pushed the cardboard against the glass and prevented it from falling.

When we take a glass of half filled water and a small piece of cardboard on the top press then invert it.the cardbord remains attached with glass water doesn't falls.why is it so?

The air pressure in the air under the cardboard is pushing up, thus keeping the cardboard and water in the glass.

How do you turn a glass full of water upside down without spilling it?

One way to turn a glass full of water upside down without spilling it is to place a piece of cardboard or a small plate over the mouth of the glass, then flip the glass upside down while holding the plate/cardboard in place. Once the glass is upside down, carefully remove the plate/cardboard to reveal the water remaining in the glass.

What do you think would happen if the bottom of the glass had a hole in it you submerged it upside down in water?

If the glass has a hole in the bottom and you submerge it upside down in water, the water would enter the glass through the hole until the air pressure inside and outside the glass equalize. Once this happens, the water would stay at a level inside the glass equal to the height of the water outside the glass.

What happened according to Newton's Law of Inertia and Law of Motion when you slowly pulled the cardboard that had a coin sitting on it with the cardboard covering a glass of water Explain?

According to Newton's Law of Inertia, the coin on the cardboard would tend to stay at rest when the cardboard is pulled slowly due to its inertia. As you pull the cardboard, the coin will initially stay in place relative to the glass of water due to its inertia. However, when the force increases or the cardboard is pulled quickly, the coin will slide off the cardboard due to the force exerted on it.

When a glass is placed facing down in a basin of water why don't the water go inside the glass?

The air pressure acting on the water surface prevents it from entering the glass. The pressure of the water pushing against the glass is not enough to overcome the air pressure inside the glass, which keeps the water out.

Why cant you put glass with water inside the refrigerator?

Water expands when it becomes ice.So the glass will break if you put a glass of water inside the refrigerator. I put glasses of water inside my refrigerator all the time.It keeps it cold. If your glass is freezing and breaking you need to check your temp setting.
