since the body needs more oxygen to use while exercising your blood carries oxygen around your body to meet the sufficient needs of your exercise intensity hence why you breathe more while exercising more as your body needs to get in as much oxygen as possible, this means a higher heart rate as your heart is working and pumping faster to try and keep up with demands

it gets 'oiled' as in exercise pumps it around, so after you stop later that day, you stay warmer or less cold on a cold day in the house ect.
