The explosion can cause a little dent on the interior of the freezer, unless it's a big explosion, like dynamite. Dynamite or a grenade can separate big pieces of the freezer, and also, it'll be in flames. A can of coke bursting? That's no concern. It'll do no damage on the freezer itself. When you open it, you'll probably find the can empty, and coke all over the ice.

Because beer is mostly water, and water expands when frozen.
