According to Ecclesiates 9:5 (NWT), when we die we are conscious of nothing at all. Jesus likened death to sleep at John 11:11-14 (NWT) when speaking about Lazarus. All those who have fallen asleep in death, and those who do before the end of this wicked system will have the opportunity to live again. John 5:28,29 "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment" NWT

When you die you become a memory to God until Jesus Comes back and raises all believers in him. Infact everyone will be raised up in the end and put before judgment. Contray to what modern churches teach - It is actually Gods desire that all people are saved -all souls. Unfornately this teaching doesnt drive people through church doors.

But yes when you die it is a like an extremely deep sleep unknown to yourself that is woken once Jesus (Yehehsua) returns. You would not have known you were asleep. I personallt believe when you die it is literally judgment day as you wouldn't know time that has passed.

the soul is sleeping in heaven (Resting In Peace)

A: actually that bible says that Heaven and God have no time so to us someone may die in ( example) 1990 and judgment day comes in (example) 2030. well when the person dies he could go straight to judgment day. so that 40 years to us could be a second to the other person. but other than that nobody can REALLYknow. This is one way to think of it.

Answer:

According to The Bible, the "soul" is NOT "immortal" - it "dies."

"The soul that sinneth, IT SHALL DIE..." (Ezek.18:20).

According to the KJV Bible, our "mortal" soul (Hebrew: 'nephesh') is translated in many, many ways: "any, appetite, beast, body, breath, creature, desire, life, lust, man, me, mind, mortally, one, own, person, pleasure, soul, they, thing." There is no connotation to "immortality" to the word.

According to the Bible, our "soul" (life) that is mortal is dependent upon "breathing"... and upon the "flowing of the blood" in our mortal bodies.

"...the Lord God formed man OF THE DUST OF THE GROUND, and BREATHED INTO HIS NOSTRILS THE BREATH OF LIFE; and MAN BECAME A LIVING SOUL [nephesh; creature]." (Gen.2:7)

"For the LIFE [nephesh; soul] of the flesh IS IN THE BLOOD... for it is the blood that maketh atonement for the SOUL [nephesh]." (Lev.17:11)

"...it is the LIFE [nephesh; soul] of all flesh; the BLOOD of it is for the LIFE [nephesh; soul] thereof... for the LIFE [nephesh; soul] of all flesh IS THE BLOOD THEREOF..." (verse 14).

Our "life"... our "soul"... is mortal... and it dies.

"...ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." (James 4:14)

Our "life" and "soul" is in our next "breath" of air in our lungs... which massages the heart. It's the next "beat of our heart" and a miraculously designed self-contained circulatory system that maintains a healthy "blood pressure."

According to the Bible, if we don't "breath" or if the circulation of our blood is interrupted... or both - we die. The "soul" [our life]... our "creature" stops. It disappears and "vanisheth away."

According to the Bible, our "spirit," on the other hand [which is something else], "returns to God."

According to the Bible: "Then shall the dust [the mortal creature, soul, that we are] return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." (Eccle.12:7)

According to the Bible... after death... the "soul"... our mortal life vanisheth away. And our spirit, which God forms in each of us, returns to Him for safe-keeping until Judgment Day.

It does not say: "good spirits go to heaven and bad spirits go to hell." The spirits of all the dead return to God, who gave them to us:

"...saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and FORMETH THE SPIRIT OF MAN WITHIN HIM." (Zech.12:1)

Until Judgment Day comes... the dead are dead (according to the Bible; dormant, asleep):

"...Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep... then said Jesus unto them plainly, LAZARUS IS DEAD." (John 11:11-14).

No, the soul experiences the particular judgment immediately upon death. At that time it either goes to heaven or hell, or if it is not yet perfect, purgatory in anticipation of heaven.

What do christians belevive happens after death?

Christians believe in life after death. Jesus Christ came to earth from heaven to pay the penalty for sin. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Savior they are given eternal life with Him in heaven. So when we died our soul goes to heaven to be with Jesus and our body remains on earth. At the coming time of the resurrection all Christians (bodies of Christians) will be raised up out of the graves and rejoined with their souls that God will bring with Him from heaven. For the unsaved person when they die their body remains on earth and their soul goes to a temporary hell. When the time comes for the unsaved to be resurrected their soul will be rejoined to their body and they will stand in judgment before the Great White Throne. Their names will not be found in the Lamb's book of life and they will be sent to the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15) to suffer for eternity. Please read the Bible as it explains all of this, as well as how you can come to Jesus Christ and be saved.

HOW DOES YOUR SOUL GO BACK TO GO?

The present state is where you are now. You exist in this present state. From the moment of conception, you became a human being, that is, a “soul.” Your soul is eternal. Scripture teaches us that we exist from conception until death, from death until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the General Resurrection from the dead, and then, the New Heavens and the New Earth. This article will seek to answer what happens at death to both your body and soul.

What happens if Anubis the god saw that the heart of the dead person was heavy?

Ammit sits beneath the Scales of Justice before the throne of Osiris where she waits for the daily flow of souls to come before Osiris for judgment. During the Judging of the Heart, if the deeds of the soul being judged are found to be more wicked than good, Anubis feeds the soul to Ammit. This results in the total annihilation of the person, and there is no hope of further existence.
