Contrary to popular belief, ALL DIABETICS CAN HAVE SUGAR. Type 2 diabetics do have to monitor their intake, while type 1 diabetics can take insulin injections in order to have sugar. Yes and no. Type 2 diabetics are able to control their blood sugar levels by exercising. Type 1 diabetics must use insulin, however exercise does help them keep a lower blood sugar level.
Glucagon, yes. Cortisol, probably not. Glucagon raises blood sugar. Many type one diabetics own glucagon injectors, so that when their blood sugar goes too low they (or someone with them) can inject them with glucagon. Cortisol does raise blood sugar, but it is not used to raise blood sugar. It's used to treat many other diseases, but not the low blood sugar which type 1 diabetics sometimes get.
EVERY TYPE! Alcohol turns into sugar temporarily when being processed by the body and sugar is bad for diabetics.
they vary but usually about 80-110 is a goal
Ask your doctor, it depends on the person.
An insulin pump will supply insulin when it is needed, such as during a meal. It helps type 1 diabetics because they can't supply their own.
There are two types of Diabetes, and neither one is caused directly by sugar. For type 1 diabetics, the cause is unknown, but sugar is not the cause. Research is continually being done to find the cause and cure. For type two diabetics, the lack of physical exercise and obesity are the most common causes.
Both type 1 and type 2 diabetics can eat sugar -- in fact, if their blood sugar gets too low, they need it. However, they should monitor their sugar consumption by keeping track of their blood sugar and insulin intake.
Any low sugar cereal should be ok for diabetics
