What happens when you don't wear green on St. Patrick's Day?

Nothing happens. Actually green was not the original color for St. Patrick's day. It was blue and if you are in Ireland if you are Catholic you wear green, but if you are Protestant you wear orange ( this dates back to William of Orange).

The whole pinching thing started because people usually thought Leprechauns wore green, and we believed that whenever a leprechaun WASN'T wearing green, then they would pinch each other to show that they were against that. So in America, we began doing that ourselves on St. Patricks day. In short, it's an American tradition. They may do it in Ireland, but they didn't start it. So nothing special happens in Ireland if you don't wear green. It's just the color they took because Ireland is associated with the color green, and most Catholic Priests wore green. :-) i dis agree jaja if u dont on the day u get bad luck if u do u get good luck and find a rainbow with pot of gold is that real of course silly
