Muslims typically remove their shoes before entering the prayer area. This is not a religious requirement, however. It is only done for the purpose of cleanliness because most mosques are carpeted, and in part of the congregational prayer, Muslims prostrate with their foreheads and noses touching the floor. Obviously, the original mosques didn't have flooring since it didn't exist yet, so Muslims prayed in their shoes. It is not forbidden to pray with shoes on. It's just a matter of keeping the prayer area clean.
they must remove there shoes.
A non Muslim can enter a mosque, but should remove his shoes
because when you enter a mosque it is clean. And when you pray you have to take your shoes off because the holy prophet muhammed was wearing his shoes when he was praying and then angel gabriel came to him during his prayer and told him that you have to take your shoes off and he did.He did this because you walk on unclean ground and when you pray in the mosque you must be clean.:]
A mosque is a holy place. It is where Muslims worship Allah. The mosque is a neat and purified place where one must enter without his shoes and then do ablution in appropriate manner from the ablution place and sit in discipline and humbleness in the mosque. Maintaining appropriate distance and alignment when offering prayers.
It's for the muslims to take their shoes off as it is respect to be in a mosque without shoes.
Yes.
They don't. The only requirement in Judaism to wash the feet before worship, is for the Kohanim in the Holy Temple (which is no longer standing). See Exodus ch.30. It is Muslims who wash their feet before entering a mosque.
take off your shoes and wash
it depends on the mosque you go to. The only rule is women should where a scarf to show respect, and NO shoes in the prayer hall
yes
they are not ... if u mean why do Muslims take their shoes off before entering the mosque ( masjid ) then that's just because a mosque is the house of god and it should be respected and kept clean .. so u shouldn't walk with ur shoes on into the mosque to bcoz u step on all sorts of stuff in the street and u shouldn't drag them into the mosque and it's also a sign of respect to the place..and Allah knows best
yes they do -------------------- yes they do but NOT as a religious ritual but only for hygienic reasons to keep the fine carpets/rugs clean and tidy. If the prayer hall is not carpeted and one's shoes are clean then it's permissible to go in the mosque with shoes. It's also permissible to pray in shoes if shoes are clean (don't have impurity)
