we cant give dc supply to a transformer because it will have some constant frequency to work..Dc is not having any frequency component.
Comment:
Nothing will happen. Transformer works on the principal of electromagnetic induction were an alternating magnetic flux of the primary winding links up with secondary winding via the core. An emf will then be induced in the secondary winding if it's cut by the alternating flux. Only AC can attain this. DC does change directions and hence it won't effect anything.
Rectifer
A transformer does not use a filter. You may be asking about the use of a filter in a power supply. A power supply uses a filter to change pulsating DC from the rectifier into smooth DC for the circuits that the power supply powers.
Part of the energy is lost in heat by processes in the transformer. That is usually only 1-2% for power supply transformers. The remainder is passed on to the load.
The process for furnace transformer replacement involves turning off the power supply, disconnecting the old transformer, installing the new transformer, and reconnecting the power supply. It is important to follow safety precautions and consult a professional if needed.

Transformer Power Supply
the INside
It is a step down transformer which is used to supply the electrical power to the station transformers and the colony transformers
Nothing happens. The stereo has a transformer that converts the power to DC, and 50 or 60 Hz input makes no difference.
