Ebonite rod becomes positively charged and the fur becomes negatively charged.
Hold on electrons: Fur > Ebonite rod
So, the ebonite rod loses its electrons to the fur and the fur becomes negatively charged.
(There's no such thing as a wooden cloth. You must mean a 'wool' cloth.)
Because electrons are transferred from the cloth to the rod.
But why is it that it is from the cloth that charges travel to the rod but not the other way around? (Why didn't the rod get POSITIVELY charged?)
The stream of water is pushed away from the rod.
If positively charged body is brought near then opposite charges i.e. negative charges are induced and hence attraction occurs
they repel one another
Static electricity!
Magnetics forces
Material can become electrically charged when two different material are brought into close contact, some of the electrons move from one material to another.
repel
they repel remember, opposites attract and likes repel.
Attraction

they repel one another
It will move away
It will move away

Similarly charged particles repel each other, and particles bearing opposite charges attract each other.
if they are opposite charges, they attract. if they are like, they repel.
